What you will need:

1: Pick a plastic egg

Two part plastic fillable eggs come in many different sizes. Pick which size is best for your treat.

2: Fill your plastic egg

Fill your chosen plastic egg with sweets, treats, small gifts or even craft supplies.

For simple carrot hanging decorations you could fill them with orange shred or orange pom poms, or even beads.

3: Add the carrot top

Cut a green pipecleaner in half and thread both halves through the hanging hole on the plastic egg.

Twist the pipecleaners together 3 or 4 times, leaving the ends free.

Spread the ends apart to create a ‘carrot top’.

Now your carrot is ready for use. Give as a gift, use in an egg hunt event or hang as a decoration.

They look great and make an ideal alternative to Easter eggs and party bags too.

Why not use gold shred and craft a golden carrot, the ultimate egg hunt prize!
