These origami angels are a perfect addition to your Christmas tree or would look great hanging around your home, even as a personalised gift for a loved one.
They can be made in complimentary colours to match any Christmas theme and even created in different sizes.
Our origami angels are both wearing a dress, a collar and wings, made from circular pieces of origami paper. The head is a natural wooden bead and a piece of natural cord is used for hanging, but you could ribbon as an alternative.
You will need:
- 10cm Origami circles (or cut a 10cm circle from craft card)
- 20mm wooden bead or wooden bead head
- 30cm length of cord or ribbon.
- Angel wing and Collar PDF
Fold the paper circle four times. Each time starting from the center.
Making a total of 16 pleats. Use your fingers to make each score line sharp.
Print the template, which is available as a separate Angel wing and Collar PDF. Cut out the collar and the wings and draw them onto the origami paper. Cut out.
Tie a double knot at the end of the piece of natural hemp. Thread it onto a needle and push the needle through the dress, the collar and finally the wooden bead.
Apply a small blob of glue on the back of the dress on two of the raised pleats. Attach the wings.
We hope you enjoy creating your own Christmas Angels!
